How long do I have to return an item?
You have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

What is the eligibility criteria for a return?
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original unopened packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

What is Bigfoot Crane Company's refund policy?
If your return is accepted, we will notify you once we've received and inspected the item. If approved, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

Can I exchange an item?
Yes, we want to ensure you get the correct products. If you have received incorrect items, please reach out to us and we will arrange for the incorrect item to be returned and replaced with the correct item. Please ensure the packaging remains undamaged and the item is unused.

Are there any exceptions to the return policy?

What are the shipping rates and estimates?
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Please note that we offer both domestic and international shipping options.

Can I pick up my order in-store?
Yes, you can skip the shipping fees by selecting free local pickup at our head office in Abbotsford, BC. After placing your order, it will be prepared and ready for pickup within 1 to 2 business days. We will send you an email notification when your order is ready along with pickup instructions.

My W410 display is reading NO DATA. What can I do?
1 - Test your sensor's battery and ensure there is power. If the battery is dead, replace it with a 3.6 volt lithium-ion battery. This looks identical to a standard AA battery, however a standard AA is 1.5 volts and will not power the sensor.

2 - Ensure the sensor address in your display or Windy App to ensure the sensor address that is programmed is matching the sensor address on the sensor label. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions on how to access the sensor address.

3 - Ensure the sensor is not in sleep mode. Turn the cups the wake up the sensor. The sensor automatically shuts off after a few minutes of inactivity.

4 - Investigate the signal strength. On the display there is a dB level displayed. The higher the number, the weaker the signal. If the number reaches 100 dB or higher, the signal is considered poor. The signal can travel through walls, however the density of the material can factor into the signal. If there is multiple walls or buildings in between the sensor and the signal, consider moving the display and/or the sensor to an improved line of sight to the sensor. You can also reduce the range of the sensor to see if this provides connection.

-105 dB is approximately the limit where display unit stops receiving
-100 dB and lower means very weak signal
-95 to -90 dB is considered acceptable
-85 dB and lower is a good signal

How often does the sensor battery need to be replaced?
The 3.6 lithium-ion battery that comes with the sensor typically last up to 1 year during repeated use. If you need replacements visit our Anemometer Parts collection for a quick and easy purchase to ensure you are getting the right battery.

Do the sensors come calibrated?
Yes, the sensors are wind tunnel calibrated at the manufacturing facility. The digital technology inside the sensor along with the water-proof wind cups bearings means these sensors do not need an annual calibration. You will receive a wind tunnel calibration report with your sensor when you purchase it online.

If you are looking to measure your anemometers performance, the most cost efficient way is to purchase a new set of wind cup bearings and compare your anemometers performance with the new bearings vs. the current bearings.

Do you have any anemometer displays that can read data from multiple sensors?
Unfortunately, no. Each anemometer readout display is only capable of receiving data from 1 sensor at any given time. You can however have multiple displays reading the same sensor, if you want to have the readout display in multiple locations.

How can I clean my sensor and display?
Cleaning can be done with a soft tissue or a cloth soaked in mild detergent. Never use aggressive solvents or cleaners. Make sure to be gentle when cleaning the cups in order not to damage the cup arms.

My wind cups are not turning at low speeds. What can I do?
Remove the wind cups and check the integrity of the bearing. If the sensor has ever been dropped, the impact could damage the bearings. The bearings may need to be replaced.

Yes, Bigfoot Crane Company Inc. is the exclusive North American distributor of the Navis line of anemometers. If you are interested in purchasing any products that are not listed for sale on, we are happy to import these items for you.
